- Digital scale with 0.1g precision
- Gooseneck kettle for controlled pouring

How to Use the App
Selecting a Recipe
Choose from our curated recipes, each designed for specific flavor profiles. The 4:6 method allows you to customize balance (acidity vs sweetness) and strength.
During Brewing
- The app shows two progress rings: outer ring for overall brew progress, inner ring for current pour
- Follow the instructions for each pour carefully
- Audio cues signal when to start each pour
- The timer counts down until it's time for the next pour
Customizing Your Brew
For adjustable recipes like the 4:6 method:
- Balance: More acidic, balanced, or sweeter
- Strength: Lighter, medium, or stronger brew
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I adjust the coffee amount?
Yes! Use the + and - buttons to adjust the coffee weight. The water amount will automatically scale to maintain the proper ratio.
What if I miss a pour time?
Don't worry! The timer continues running. Just pour when you're ready and follow the remaining instructions.
How do I change themes?
Tap the gear icon in the top right, then select "Theme" to choose from our collection of beautiful color palettes.
Do I need an internet connection?
No! Pourover Eddy works completely offline once installed.
Will you add more brewers?
Yes! We're actively working on adding support for Chemex, Kalita Wave, and other popular pour-over methods.
Brewing Tips
- Use water at 195-205°F (90-96°C) for best extraction
- Grind your coffee just before brewing for maximum freshness
- Rinse your paper filter with hot water before brewing
- Pour in a slow, steady spiral starting from the center
- Keep your scale tared to zero before each pour
- Experiment with different recipes to find your favorite
Recommended Coffee-to-Water Ratios
- Standard: 1:15 to 1:17 (e.g., 20g coffee to 300-340g water)
- Stronger: 1:13 to 1:15
- Lighter: 1:17 to 1:20
